Wardle Village Church has been a Local Ecumenical Partnership since 1993, and its fully integrated congregation shares both Methodist and Anglican Worship. Normally Methodist on 1st, 3rd and 5th Sundays of the month and Anglican on 2nd and 4th Sundays. We play a full part in both the Anglican Deanery of Rochdale and Diocese of Manchester, and in the Methodist Circuit and District.

Our Purpose is to offer meaningful worship; (traditional and modern are both acceptable) to encourage members to grow in the faith of Our Lord Jesus Christ, and to be the body of Christ, witnessing to His love and grace in the area we serve.

How to find us by Car:

Leave the M62 motorway at junction 21, and head toward Milnrow. At the first junction (second set of traffic lights) go right and immediately left again, up a very steep hill. Near the crest of the hill, turn left following signs for Hollingworth lake country park, and travel along the whole of Wildhouse Lane

There is a T-junction and mini-roundabout at the end. Go left, and follow the road (Smithy Bridge Road) to its end. At its end, you will come to a T-junction and lights. Turn left into New Road, heading toward Rochdale.

After about 40 yards, turn right at the traffic lights up Birch Road (heading toward Birch Hill Hospital and Wardle High School).

At the very end of Birch road (1 1/2 miles), turn right at the mini roundabout, and follow the road until you reach the village square.

Wardle Village Church is positioned at the centre of this square.
