Privacy
Policy
(What
we do with any information you submit to us)
At
CenterWeb,
it is our intent to give you as much control as possible over your
privacy in regard to your personal information and the use we make
of it in the course of our business. In general, you can visit CenterWeb
on the Web without telling us who you are or revealing any information
about yourself.
What
Information We Gather
Sometimes we do need information from you, normally for replying
to any query you may have sent in. You won't get anything that you
don't want, so if you want to stop corresponding with us once you've
begun, just send us an e-mail saying so. When you submit any information
through a form or otherwise to us, we keep this information private.
We never exchange any contact information with other companies or
third parties, unless compelled by law or court order to do so,
or when it is required so that your query can be answered. However,
we reserve the right to publish any queries and subsequent answers
to them on CenterWeb, but will always ensure complete anonymity
for the person(s) involved. Personal details are circulated to advice
councilors who are part of CenterWeb for them to respond to your
queries. Advice coucilors will adhere to this privacy policy.
What
We Do With the Information We Gather
The information gathered from the forms you fill out is used in
one of four ways:
- To provide
you with information about new things on our site
- To send you
(electronic) literature which you have requested.
- To gather
broad demographic information about user trends.
- Some advice
queries are used as the basis of articles, always preserving the
anonymity of the person(s) involved.
CenterWeb
uses various methods to collect certain other kinds of information
including "cookies", "referers", IP addresses, and environment variables.
Here is how we use these methods:
A
"cookie" is a file that is placed in a special directory on you
hard disk which contains information that CenterWeb needs to give
you what you want. It can be used to provide you with tailored information
from the Web site, or to save you filling in a form again. Some
of the CenterWeb pages may in the future use cookies, which will
give you the above benefits. You can set your browser to notify
you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether
or not to accept it. CenterWeb will not require that you accept
cookies.
A
"referer" is the information passed along by a web browser that
references the Web URL you linked from, and it is automatically
gathered by our Web server. This information is simply used to find
out where most of our users come from and therefore how to adjust
the site's content and design accordingly.
IP
addresses are automatically gathered by our Web server. Your IP
address is a number that is used by computers on the Internet to
identify your computer so that data (such as the Web pages you request)
can be sent to you. You will not be personally identified from this
information. This is normal, and every web site you visit does it.
Environment
variables we gather include time, type of Web browser being used,
and the operating system/platform. This information again helps
us cater even better for the majority of our users.
The
CenterWeb site contains links to other Web sites, however, CenterWeb
is not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of such
Web sites.
What
We Do with Information Gathered about any of our Partners Content
on this Web Site
CenterWeb
will never sell or share personal information collected from forms
or e-mails connected with this site with third parties, except if
the content about which the form or e-mail is, is developed or owned
by one of CenterWeb's partners or associates.
