God Above all Else?
(How do you know if God is most important in your life?).

That's a good question. It's a question I have asked myself several times. It is so easy to say that you don't want to put anything before God, but how do you know that that's what you mean?

Here's the test: Is there anything that you can not live without? If the answer is anything but Jesus, then that is coming between you and God.

It's so easy to get caught up in what we don't have and forget to be thankful for what the Lord has already given us. In the book of Job, Job had a lot going for him. And God allowed Satan to take it all away from him. But Job's faith in God remained and was enough to carry him through those tough times. So when you have faith enough that you could lose all your friends, family, and material objects and even your health, and still make it through life, that's when you can be sure that you're putting God first.

Remember, it's not about gaining personal gain or a good reputation in the world, it's about staying on path with God's will.
